This Privacy Policy explains what information Senda Rent collects when you visit senda-rent.com or book a rental, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can control it. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

“Senda Rent,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SENDA RENTAL CARS, an independent car-rental business operating at 2270 NW 36th St, Miami, FL 33142. Contact: senda.rental@gmail.com · +1 (239) 467-3948.

Information We Collect

We only collect what's needed to quote and confirm a reservation, communicate with you, and meet our legal obligations.

Provided directly by you during the booking flow:

  • Full name, email, phone number, billing address
  • Date of birth
  • Driver's license number, expiration date, and a photograph of the license
  • Trip details: pickup/return location, dates, vehicle category, optional add-ons
  • Payment instrument details (handled directly by Stripe or PayPal — we never see full card numbers)

Collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time on page, referring URL (for analytics and error tracking)
  • Local storage on your browser to remember your reservation in progress (we do NOT persist your license photo, license number, or date of birth on disk — see Section 6)

How We Use Your Information

  • Process your reservation — verifying driver eligibility, calculating pricing, charging the deposit, and creating the rental contract in our reservation system (HQ Rental Software).
  • Communicate with you — confirmation emails, pickup instructions, reminders, support replies, and (with your separate consent) marketing newsletters.
  • Detect fraud and abuse — verifying license documents, checking for payment tampering, and applying rate limits on API endpoints.
  • Comply with the law — record-keeping required by Florida vehicle-rental regulations, tax filings, and law-enforcement requests when legally compelled.
  • Improve the site — anonymous analytics to understand where the booking flow gets stuck.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers required to deliver the rental, listed below:

  • HQ Rental Software (reservation system, USA) — name, contact details, trip details, license number, optional license image.
  • Stripe (payments, USA) — name, email, billing address, card data. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.
  • PayPal (alternate payments, USA) — handled directly by PayPal under its own privacy policy.
  • Supabase (database hosting, USA) — encrypted at rest; stores admin/site content and a hash of your payment provider id for duplicate-charge prevention.
  • Sentry (error monitoring, USA) — receives crash reports with cookies, request bodies, and IPs stripped out before transmission.
  • Upstash (rate limiting, USA) — only your IP address, for abuse prevention.
  • OpenStreetMap / Photon (geocoding for the locations page) — addresses we publish for our own branches, never customer data.

How Long We Keep It

Reservation and contract data: retained for 7 years to satisfy Florida record-keeping and tax law. Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe. Site analytics and error logs: 90 days. Payment data lives with Stripe/PayPal under their own retention policies.

Security

All traffic to senda-rent.com is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3 + HSTS preload). Our database is encrypted at rest. Payment card data never reaches our servers — it flows directly from your browser to Stripe/PayPal via their secure widgets. Highly sensitive PII (driver's license number/expiration, date of birth, license photo) is kept only in browser memory during the booking flow — we deliberately do NOT persist it to local storage, so closing the tab erases it.

Your Rights

You may request, at any time, to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention obligations — see Section 5)
  • Opt out of marketing emails — unsubscribe link is included in every email
  • Withdraw consent to any optional data processing

Email senda.rental@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request” to exercise any of these rights. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Cookies and Tracking

We use only the cookies and local storage needed for the site to function: an authentication cookie for the admin area, language preference, and a JSON snapshot of your reservation in progress. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Error reporting (Sentry) uses a session-only cookie that is destroyed when you close the tab.

Children

Senda Rent does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21 — the minimum age to rent a vehicle from us. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, email senda.rental@gmail.com and we will delete it.

International Transfers

If you book from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the site you consent to that transfer.

We will update this page when our practices change. The “last updated” line at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
