Most car rental companies in Miami accept exactly one thing: a credit card with a sizable available balance. Senda accepts a longer list because the people we serve pay in different ways. None of them should be turned away at a counter.

Why we accept cash, Zelle and PayPal
- Foreign visitorsMany of our guests fly in from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Spain, Italy and France. Their banks issue cards that don't clear US merchants smoothly, or they prefer not to expose a foreign credit limit to a US hold. Cash and Zelle are cleaner.
- No US credit historyNew US residents and international students often don't have a US credit card yet. Forcing a credit-only policy excludes them. We don't.
- Trust and transparencyWhen the deposit is paid in cash and returned in cash, there is no "your bank will see the release in 7–10 business days" surprise. The transaction is closed.
How a cash rental actually works
- Reserve online.Dates, vehicle, pickup point.
- At pickup, Senda issues a written contract showing rate + deposit + tax.
- Pay the rental amount in cash.Pay the deposit in cash, Zelle, or PayPal — your choice.
- Keep the receipt.It documents the deposit and is your proof of payment.
- At drop-off, the car is inspected. If undamaged and refueled, the deposit is returned to you on the spot.
Deposit returns
Senda holds a refundable security deposit at pickup (amount depends on vehicle category). It is not a charge. It is released or returned after the vehicle is inspected at drop-off:
- Cash deposit → returned in cash.
- Zelle deposit → returned by Zelle within 24 hours.
- PayPal deposit → returned by PayPal within 24 hours.
- Card deposit → released by the card network (3–10 business days, set by your bank).
What if my international card doesn't work?
It happens. Some banks block US travel-related charges as a fraud-prevention default. If a card declines at pickup, you have three immediate options: call your bank to authorize, switch to Zelle/PayPal, or pay in cash. We have never sent a guest away because of a card issue.

Can I really rent a car in Miami without a credit card?
Yes. Senda accepts cash, Zelle, PayPal, bank transfer, and debit cards for both rental payment and the security deposit.
Is the cash deposit really refundable?
Yes. The cash deposit is counted at pickup, recorded on your contract, and returned to you in cash at drop-off when the vehicle is returned in the same condition. We do not deduct fees from the deposit unless damage or fuel is owed.
Can I pay in Mexican pesos, Colombian pesos, euros, or other currencies?
We bill in US dollars. Most foreign currency exchanges in Miami can convert your cash to USD before pickup; many of our guests handle this at MIA on arrival.
Will paying by Zelle or PayPal trigger a tax form?
Senda's collection of payment is a normal commercial transaction. Most personal Zelle and PayPal payments below the IRS reporting thresholds do not trigger forms. Speak to your tax advisor for specifics.
Can I split payment between methods?
Yes. A common combination is cash for the rental and Zelle for the deposit, or PayPal for the rental and credit card for the deposit. Tell us what works for you.
Why don't more rental companies accept these methods?
Most chains operate on a single national POS system that supports cards only. Independent operators like Senda can customize. The flexibility is one of the reasons our guests come back.
