Rental Requirements — What You Need to Rent a Car at Senda
To rent from Senda you need to be at least 21 years old, present a valid driver's license from any country, show ID matching the license, and have a payment method for the rental and a refundable security deposit. There is no young-driver surcharge for ages 21–24, no "International Driving Permit required" rule, and no mandatory credit card.

Driver's license
- US driver's licenseAny state, original, not expired.
- Foreign driver's licenseAny country, original, in any language, not expired. We do not require an International Driving Permit (IDP), but one is helpful if your license is not in the Latin alphabet.
- Digital licensesMost US states' mobile licenses are accepted. Bring the physical card too as backup.
Identification
- US driversDriver's license is sufficient ID at pickup.
- International driversPassport in addition to the foreign license. Passport must be valid for at least the rental duration.

A credit card is not required. Many national chains require a credit card with a $200–$500 hold for the deposit; Senda accepts cash, Zelle, PayPal, or debit card for the deposit instead.
Driving record
For most reservations Senda does not run a separate motor vehicle records check at pickup. The exceptions are long-term (30+ days) rentals and premium / sports cars, where a clean recent driving history may be required.
